 instructor-shihan Shihan Kiyoshi Nishime
With over 50 years of experience in the martial arts, Master Instructor, Kiyoshi Nishime has taught thousands of students in the tri-state area. A native of Okinawa, Japan, Sensei Nishime moved to the United States in 1973 to teach karate in Cincinnati. In 1998 he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Japanese government for his contributions to martial arts and was recognized as the 1999 National Instructor of the Year by the Amateur Athletic Union. He is a 9th Degree Black Belt. As the father of three and grandfather of five, he has seen first-hand how training in Karate together benefits families.

Shihan Nishime oversees the curriculum and Instructor Training for all Nishime Family Karate schools. He is normally found at the Honbu (headquarters) in Taylor Creek, but he now teaches seminars throughout the U.S. and world-wide. At 67 years old, he continues to train an average of 4 hours per day with his sons Ben and Jason.
Sensei Ben Nishime
Sensei Ben Nishime is a 5th Degree Black Belt with over 25 years of training in martial arts. He was a member of the AAU National Karate Team and medaled in 4 World Championships. After teaching under the supervision of his father/teacher for several years, he began running the Bright location full time. He is also in charge of the program at KidsFirst Sports. Sensei Ben is known for keeping students motivated with his fun, high energy classes.
 instructor-jason Sensei Jason Nishime
Sensei Jason Nishime is a 4th Degree Black Belt who has been training in Karate for almost all of his life. He achieved his Junior Black Belt at just 8 years old. He has competed in numerous competitions and has won 8 National and 3 International titles. One of Nishime Family Karate's most popular coaches, he has a professional cornerman license. He enjoys teaching students of all age levels and abilities. Sensei Jason is in charge of the Northern Kentucky location.
Mary Beth Nishime
Mary Beth is a 3rd Degree Black Belt who began training in martial arts 30 years ago. After years of teaching regularly, she started the fitness program at the Taylor Creek dojo, beginning with the Cardio-Kickboxing classes.

In 2008 she became one of the first licensed Zumba Fitness ® instructors in the west side of Cincinnati. Along with her team of instructors, she offers popular Zumba Fitness ® classes nearly every day at the Taylor Creek studio as well as at Faith Fellowship Church, and Colerain Township Community Center.

She has a Group Exercise Certification through the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America.
